You're busy. You have a lot going on, and you feel like there's never enough time in the day for anything. But it's important to take care of yourself—your body, mind, and spirit—in order to be your best in all areas of life. In this guide for busy entrepreneurs, we'll discuss how you can fit fitness into your daily routine with minimal disruption.
Working out with a partner.
Working out with a partner is one of the most effective ways to keep yourself motivated, as you’re more likely to stick with your workout if you know someone else has to wait for you. The benefits of working out with a partner extend beyond accountability; there are other aspects of having a good partner that can help keep you focused and on track.
If you’re working out with a friend or spouse who is also exercising, it’s important that both parties communicate before going into the gym. It can be frustrating when one person ends up waiting for the other because they weren't ready at the same time.
It can also be difficult being motivated when your partner isn't as excited about exercising as they once were. If this happens to you, try not to let it bother you too much—it's important to focus on what motivates YOU rather than comparing yourself against others!
Be active at least 5 minutes a day.
Start small. Even just 5 minutes of activity a day can make a huge difference in your health and well-being.
As long as you're active at all during your day, you'll be better off than if you sit or lay around the whole time! Here are a few ideas:
Go for a walk or jog around the block. If that's too much, try going up and down your steps, or around the block once (a lap) instead of walking straight home from work each day. You could also do jumping jacks or pushups while waiting for an elevator or while waiting to get off an elevator!
Do squats while working at your desk—I'm sure no one will notice unless they're looking at their computer screen upside down! Just make sure it's brief enough so nobody gets suspicious about why someone is trying to break into their office space...
Water breaks: take more frequent short water breaks throughout the day instead of taking one big one when hunger hits later on in the afternoon
Mix up your diet.
You should be eating a variety of foods and making sure that you’re getting enough fruits and veggies. Avoid processed foods as much as possible, since they lack the nutrients found in whole food. You should also limit your sugar intake (if you don't already have a sweet tooth), salt and saturated fat levels.
If you're trying to lose weight, try eating more protein with each meal—it will help balance out your blood sugars and keep you feeling full longer!
Make exercise a habit.
The best way to make exercise a habit is to think of it as an integral part of your day, rather than a chore. If you force yourself to exercise, chances are you’ll end up feeling resentful and not wanting to do it again. Instead, plan out when and how much time you have available each week and make sure that there’s always room in your schedule for at least one workout session per day.
If you can afford it, hiring a personal trainer will help keep you accountable for sticking with your routine—plus they'll offer valuable advice on how best to achieve results from your workouts (and even better: they'll motivate!). Personal trainers also come with their own set of challenges though; including paying for their services (which can get expensive), scheduling sessions around busy schedules (everyone knows how hard that is), lugging all those heavy lifting machines into/out of the office every day (!), etc.
If this isn't an option or if there's simply no way around finding time for everything else in life besides working out every single day then stick with these tips instead:
Track your goals.
Tracking your progress is one of the most important things you can do to stick with your fitness goals. You may have heard that if you don't track what you eat, you'll eat more than intended; this is also true of exercise!
If your goal is weight loss, then try to make sure that each workout burns at least 200 calories—if it doesn't, increase the intensity or add an extra set of exercises.
To help keep yourself motivated and on track with your fitness goals, we recommend using a fitness app like Endomondo or MyFitnessPal (these are both available on Android and iPhone) to track everything from distance walked to how many sit-ups you do in a day.
Busy entrepreneurs can make time for their health and fitness goals.
As a busy entrepreneur, you're constantly on the move. You've got to be productive and meet deadlines, which means your days are filled with meetings and long hours of work. You may even have clients who are in different time zones or travel frequently. These can make it hard for you to find time for exercise and healthy eating—let alone manage any other health-related commitments.
You're not alone in this struggle! But there is good news: you can still make time for your health goals. It just takes some planning ahead so that they fit into your schedule without sacrificing productivity or personal happiness. Here are some ways to do it:
Make an exercise appointment on your calendar like any other meeting would be (with yourself!). Block off an hour each day or evening when you'll commit solely to working out, whether that’s going to the gym or doing another type of activity (like yoga). This will ensure that no matter what else happens during the day, you’ll get at least one workout done at a predetermined time every day—and it will keep you accountable so that if something urgent comes up later on in the week, there won't be any excuses about why this session didn't happen! And if possible, try getting up earlier than usual so that working out becomes part of your morning routine instead; not only does this give us more energy throughout our days but also helps us avoid overeating later since our blood sugar levels haven't gone down yet from fasting overnight."
There’s no better time than now to get healthy and stay healthy. It can be hard to find the time to work out, but it’s worth it. When you feel good about your body and your health, you can perform better at work and in other aspects of your life. These tips will help you get started on the right path!
