It's easy to think of goals in terms of what you want and what you don't want. But think about it this way: maybe there are some steps that need to happen before you get from A to B—you can't just leap straight from one place to another. This is especially true if your ideal outcome involves a major change, which isn't likely to come about overnight.
Get clear on where you are now
It is important to get clear on where you are now before you begin working toward your next level. This will help ensure that whatever plan you set into motion is realistic and achievable. Set an intention to be ambitious, but stay realistic. If you’re someone who has never exercised before or has been inactive for a while, it may be reasonable to start with smaller goals such as walking 30 minutes per day three days per week or taking a yoga class once every two weeks.
It’s also important not to compare yourself with other people—their goals might not line up with yours at all! Instead of thinking about how far away your goal seems from now, focus on the progress that can still be made in the interim between where you are now and where you want to go eventually (i.e., the first step).

In order to know what's holding you back, you have to understand why the first step is so hard. The reason? Your mind thinks it knows how things should be done, but it doesn't actually know how they will happen. It's like a child who wants to go outside and play in the rain without an umbrella.
When it comes down to it, there are two types of people: those who believe that their dreams can come true, and those who don't. When you get a sense of what it would look like to be at your next level, the next step is to figure out how to make that a reality. Here are 3 things you can do:
Ask yourself what it will take for you to take that first step. What do you need in order for this change to happen? Do you need more information, resources or tools? Are there things holding you back from making changes in your life right now? Maybe they're time constraints or fear of failure. It's important not to get stuck in thinking that these things will always be there, so don't wait until they go away before taking action!
Think about who could help with this transition and then reach out and ask them for guidance or advice on how they made their own transitions successfully (if possible).
Write down exactly what changing into your next level looks like for both you and other people who might be impacted by this change (family/friends/colleagues). This way when someone asks why something has changed about how we communicate - we can tell them exactly why without having too many conversations about it at once!

Start by identifying the activities that you enjoy. What kind of work do you want to be doing? What do you want to spend your time doing? How many hours a day do you want to work, and what type of work environment are you looking for?
Next, think about what types of people would make this ideal day possible. Who is in your circle that supports your vision and will help keep it on track? Is there someone who has been through something similar who could mentor or guide you through hurdles along the way? Do friends or family members need support as well and how can they contribute their efforts toward making this day happen?

Are you looking for help from other people or yourself? Maybe you need a coach, mentor, or accountability partner. Or maybe it’s time to hire an assistant. Maybe it's as simple as asking for help with a task that's too big for one person—or even just telling someone about what you want to do and letting them know they can call on you if they ever need anything.
What skills do you need to learn in order to reach this new level? If a skill is essential and something I can teach myself through books and videos (like learning how to use Adobe Premiere Pro), then I'll go ahead and buy the book or video course (after all, no one said becoming successful would be easy!). But if the skill requires investment from others who are more knowledgeable than me (like private lessons), then I'll make sure my finances are secure enough before taking the plunge into financial debt.
How can resources like books, podcasts, ebooks or online courses help me reach my goal faster? For example: The first thing I did after deciding my next level was creating an outline of everything, I wanted my business website's homepage design & layout to look like--and then finding free resources online so that rather than hiring someone else at $100/hour every week.
Who can help?
When you're going through a hard time and especially if you're feeling isolated, the step toward your next level is simply to connect with others. It's important to draw from others' experience and perspective. You don't have to go it alone!
Ask for help from people who are at your level or higher people who have navigated their way through similar situations. They'll be able to offer valuable insight into how they handled similar issues in their lives. Ask them how they overcame challenges like yours, what resources helped them succeed, what mistakes they made along the way (so you can avoid them), etc..
How do you feel about doing something alone or with others?
This is a big question. There are many reasons why you might want to do something alone, and just as many reasons why you might want to do something with others. Here are some examples:
You don't have any friends who share your interests, so going to the movies or out for dinner would be pretty awkward.
Your friends aren't very supportive of your goals, so it would be better for both parties if you went on your own path and let them go theirs (assuming this isn’t an issue).
You feel more confident when no one else is around because then there's less judgment and more chances for self-discovery (or at the very least, introspection).
On the flipside of this coin:
If your goal requires other opinions or input from people with experience in that area, then getting together with them can be highly beneficial. For example: if someone wants advice on how best to run their business but doesn't know anyone who owns one themselves at present time; then getting together with other entrepreneurs would allow them access into those types of conversations without having require much effort beyond making initial contact through email/phone call etcetera
