Instagram is a powerful tool for marketing your brand. It's no secret that people love images over words, and with the right strategy, you can use Instagram to boost brand awareness and drive sales. We've put together a checklist of items you need to have in order to create the perfect Instagram for your business.

Your profile pic should be recognizable

If you have a logo or slogan that is on your products, make sure it’s visible in the image. If you have an employee or team member who represents your brand well, consider using their face as the profile picture.

If you have a physical store location, take a picture of it and use that as your profile picture. Or if you are just starting out and don’t have a permanent place for customers to visit yet, try taking photos around where you work (or even in your home office) with branded background items in the shot like signs or posters from events where people could see them there too!

Finally, if possible show off some personality by posting an image of what goes on behind-the-scenes at your company!

Your bio should tell about your business and include a call to action

  • Tell about your business. Your bio is the place to share all the details about who you are and what you do, but it's also an opportunity to connect with followers by sharing a little more of yourself—something fun or interesting that makes you stand out from other businesses on Instagram.

  • Include a call to action. Make sure that anyone reading your profile knows what they can expect from following you: whether it's exclusive discounts, sneak peeks into upcoming projects or content, or just some general information on where they can find more of whatever they're looking for when they check out your account (links in bios are often overlooked).

  • Use the first person "I" instead of the third person "we". It sounds obvious but when writing copy for online profiles it's easy for us marketers to forget this simple rule!

Have a uniform theme

If you want your Instagram to look professional, the first step is to make sure that it has a uniform theme.

This means using similar fonts, filters, and color schemes throughout your posts. In addition to making your page look more visually consistent and cohesive, this also makes it easier for people to find new content when they follow you on other platforms (like Facebook).

Use hashtags in your posts

You should use hashtags that are relevant to your post. Be sure not to use too many, as this can turn off potential followers and make you look like a spammer. It’s also important not to use hashtags that don’t make sense, or don't fit with your brand—this will confuse people and prevent them from getting what they came for.

Show that you're human with images of your team actually working

You want to show that you and your team are real people, so post photos of them working on projects. You can also post photos of customers interacting with your employees, or even just shots of the team having fun together in the office. This will help build rapport with followers and show that you’re not just a faceless corporation obsessed with money (which we know is true).

Take advantage of Instagram ads

Instagram ads are a great way to get the word out about your business. They’re easy to set up, affordable, and can be used for lead generation or brand awareness.

Here are some tips on how to make the most of these Instagram ads:

  • Don’t stray too far from what you already know works. If you have an existing website or blog, use it as a resource for creating compelling content that people are already familiar with and want more of. Put yourself in the shoes of someone who is reading this post and think about what kinds of things would catch their eye and hold their attention long enough for them to click through on an ad that appears next to it.*

Be sure to have an eye-catching profile picture, unique bio, and post pictures that are on-brand and show off your business

Instagram is a great place to show off your brand's personality. You should have an eye-catching profile picture, unique bio, and post pictures that are on-brand and show off your business.

The first thing people will see when they come across your Instagram page is the profile picture. Make sure it’s recognizable and not too busy so people know it's actually you or your company's account.

Next up: The bio! This section should include your business name (or brand), a call to action (something like “Follow us for…”), as well as an URL where people can learn more about you or buy products/services from you. Try using hashtags in this section if you want them to appear with each post—this makes it easier for new followers who aren't familiar with all of the brand names being used within the photo captions! Using hashtags will also help increase engagement overall by making sure that others searching for similar content can find yours easily enough without having to scroll through everything else out there first. "Finally," says Tanith Buskirk from Hootsuite: "We recommend showcasing how human (or how many humans) operate behind every great product or service." Showing these connections between real people working together creates trust around what they're selling—and could even lead potential customers towards purchasing something because they feel connected somehow through seeing employees smiling alongside their work!

When it comes to Instagram, you need to be sure that your profile page looks good and has the right content. You can do this by using the tips we've outlined above. Having an eye-catching profile picture is a great way to make sure people notice your account right away. If you have an interesting bio or if it includes an enticing call-to-action (CTA), then even more people will be drawn in by what they see online. Another thing worth noting is that while hashtags are great for increasing visibility on other platforms like Twitter or Facebook, they don't always work well on Instagram because they don't appear directly next to each other which can sometimes disrupt the flow of reading one's feed.
