Business isn't easy, but it can be if you keep at it. Sometimes you're up and sometimes you're down, but in the end, it's all worth it. Knowing what to do can be hard though. I've been through many of the things that I'm about to mention and these tips have helped me a lot.

1. Make sure you have a contingency plan. No matter how much you prepare and plan, sometimes things just happen that are out of your control. Have a plan in place so that if something unexpected happens, it doesn't sink your business!

2. Do what YOU love doing. It's easy to get stuck in the day-to-day grind of running a company and forget why you got into this business in the first place. Make sure you're doing work that makes you happy, because if you aren't, no one else will be either! If you have stopped loving to do something and can afford it, you need to delegate that work you don't like to do to someone that loves to do it! They will be 10x better at it than you anyway, because they will enjoy doing it and will keep growing to become better in that area. A helpful tool if you are looking to scale in your business is to always be looking to find someone to replace the current position you are in.

3. Take breaks from work every once in a while, (even if it's just for 10 minutes). Even though running a business can be stressful at times, it's important to make time for yourself—and not just when things go wrong!

  1. Set goals: Having goals for your business helps you identify where you want to go with it, and what changes need to be made to get there. This can help ensure that your company doesn't stagnate or fall behind its competitors.
  2. Keep an open mind: Don't get stuck in the same old routine—keep an eye out for new opportunities and ways to improve the way things are done around here!
  3. Be patient with yourself and your business: Being patient with yourself and your business is about being able to recognize when something isn't working out how you planned—and then finding ways around it or through it until things get better again!
  4. Don't be afraid to ask for help: It's hard to admit that you need help with something. But if you're a business owner, you've probably realized by now that it's impossible to do everything yourself—and that's okay! In fact, it's great. When someone offers to lend a hand, don't hesitate—take them up on their offer!
  5. Don't take shortcuts—do it right the first time: Don't rush into decisions without thinking them through first. Be sure you're taking advantage of all the resources available to you (books, courses, online forums). And keep learning from your mistakes so they don't happen again in the future.

If you're just starting a business, then I hope these few tips help. If you've been at it a long time, perhaps you'll find some things to rethink and re-approach.
